Diamond Welcomes the Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville, Ontario.

Diamond Municipal Solutions is pleased to welcome the Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville to our growing family of public sector clients. The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is considered one of the jewels of the GTA. With approx. 40,000 residents, it is located in the east central part of York Region, 24 km north of Toronto. Comprised of a variety of smaller communities, Whitchurch-Stouffville offers a unique county environment in the Greater Toronto Area. It has a broad range of scenery, forested areas, and lakes to include a large recreational environment to both residents and visitors alike.
 

THE CHALLENGE:
Being one of the fastest growing municipalities in Canada, the Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville began their pursuit for a new financial software system when they realized they had outgrown their existing software as it was no longer able to meet their growing business needs. The financial management functionality which had been identified as part of the Town’s long-term financial strategy could not be delivered using their current financial solution. In addition, their current solution lacked the ability to provide flexible reporting, provide users across the organization with fast and relevant access to information using familiar Microsoft tools and provide an integrated solution for managing and sharing data with other departments and third party products. These challenges, along with their fast paced environment and speed of changes in Information Technology were all driving factors in the Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville’s search for a new, more robust and integrated financial management solution.
 

THE-SOLUTION:
It was the combination of superior product functionality and local market experience that convinced the Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville that Diamond was the optimal software for their needs. “This solution is a feature-rich, robust, integrated solution that exceeds our current financial requirements” says Marc Pourvahidi, Director of Finance/Treasurer. The Towns goal was to find a solution that would provide enhanced reporting capabilities, expanded functionality and increased efficiencies, which are all vital pieces in the long-term effective Customer Service Strategy of The Town of Whitchurch – Stouffville.
