Star Municipal Changes Name to StarDyne Technologies Inc.
November 1, 2007, Kelowna, BC – Star Municipal Technologies Inc., a growth driven company focused on providing software and related services to the local government and education areas of the public sector, has changed its name to StarDyne Technologies Inc.
Since its inception in 2001, StarDyne has rapidly increased its presence in the public sector market. With 9 acquisitions plus organic growth, StarDyne has realized a compounded annual growth in revenue in excess of 50%. Earlier this year, StarDyne reorganized into two focused divisions; the Government Solutions Division and the Education Solutions Division. With this corporate restructuring, StarDyne recognized a need to re-brand itself for both current and future business interests. StarDyne’s future vision includes extending beyond the local government or education sectors into other public sector organizations/markets.
“We made this move to better reflect our Group Companies, who are not only in the local government sector but also in the education sector. A company’s brand is a promise to customers,” said David Burke, CEO of StarDyne, “the new name more accurately represents the company’s business interests, both current and future.”
The name StarDyne connects with its predecessor name through the use of “Star”; while expressing new energy and vitality. “Dyne” was chosen as it expresses the idea of force connected to technologies. Taken together, “StarDyne” presents the company’s name; “Technologies” describes its focus of business. In other words: StarDyne Technologies Inc. = A leading force in technology.
The new corporate logo mark was selected because it graphically demonstrates the attributes that are core to StarDyne. It signifies a unified group with Star at the centre, the radiating points represent the Group Companies maintaining their individuality and vibrancy. The “Motion” that is visible demonstrates StarDyne’s forward movement.
StarDyne Technologies Inc. is a technology company focused on the local government and education areas of the public sector, providing strategic leadership with a long term investment perspective to support our companies. Through its Group Companies, StarDyne offers alternative or complementary software solutions to satisfy the complex software requirements of these public sector customers.
